EVERYTHING is set up nicely between relegation play-off candidates Morton and Clyde following this comprehensive win for the Greenock side.
With Davie Irons' men travelling to face Partick next week whilst Clyde face Stirling Albion, both sides find themselves level on points though the goal difference favours Morton by one. It will be certainly a tense affair for all involved in what promises to be an exciting end to the First Division fixtures.
If Morton's performance yesterday was anything to go by, they are certainly up for the fight, although the trip to Firhill will be a tough one. They could have scored a few more goals against a lacklustre Dunfermline side and will be kicking themselves they never converted more opportunities.
Kevin Finlayson's second-half strike was worthy of a bigger arena, as he teased and tormented defenders before clipping his shot in off the post. In the end 3-0 was convincing enough with earlier goals from Brian Wake (right) and Ryan Harding giving Morton a comfortable lead.
Morton dominated throughout and could have added to their tally but Paartalu was denied late on by the crossbar and a goal-line clearance.
