Morton shelve bid to lure Cuthbert

MORTON manager Davie Irons has ruled out signing former St Johnstone goalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert as the Cappielow club's finances would not allow a move.
Meanwhile, Morecambe's former Liverpool striker Jon Newby has been offered a deal by the Greenock club.
