EDINBURGH Monarchs star Andrew Tully is first reserve for the British Under-21 Speedway Final at Lakeside on April 25.
The Bathgate rider had a golden chance to win last night's qualifying round at King's Lynn but fell in the Grand Final.

Tully and Workington's Joe Haines were both seeded to the final race-off after piling up 14 points in the qualifying heats.

In what was a complex qualification system overall, they were joined in the final showdown by Newcastle's Sean Stoddart and Haines' Workington teammate Charles Wright and, unluckily for Tully, he fell and was excluded.

Haines took the chequered flag from runner-up Stoddart and third-placed Wright with all three going through to the British Final on April 25.

Monarchs' William Lawson is already through to the showpiece event via the seeding process.
