LEWIS HAMILTON is determined to keep hitting the sweet spot in a McLaren he currently hails as "the best it has ever been".
Hamilton heads into this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix again in sole possession of the lead in the Formula One drivers' title race.

After back-to-back victories in the British and German grands prix, Hamilton holds a four and seven-point cushion over Ferrari duo Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen, respectively.

The 23-year-old dominated those races and is now in a position to become the first British driver to win three successive races since Damon Hill at the start of the 1996 season.

"I would just like to continue with the momentum I have, to score more points this weekend," said Hamilton.

"If we have the car to win, then we will go for that, otherwise it would be nice to just be on the podium before the break.

"But right now I love my car. Obviously at the first grand prix (in Australia] I loved it then.

"But I didn't hit the sweet spot for a couple of races, although at the last few races the car has been the best it has ever been. It should be that way. We've been working very hard to develop it and we've seen the evolution of the car."
