WHILE Saturday's surprising loss to Drumpellier was not fatal to their promotion hopes, it means today's home fixture against McCrae FS West is one Forfarshire have to win.
Captain Peter Drummond admitted the Forthill club "never got enough runs on the board", however he is certain his side would have gained a big lift from beating league leaders Aberdeenshire in the Scottish Cup on Sunday.

The main threat from West will come from batsmen Douglas Lockhart and their pro Grant Robinson, who played prominent roles in the big win over West Lothian.

Leaders Aberdeenshire await a visit from Penicuik, whose captain Stewart Chalmers hit a match-winning 87 not out against Freuchie, who have slumped to the bottom of the league and need a morale-boosting win over Stirling County today.

Craig Thyssen just can't stop piling on the runs for Stenhousemuir – last Saturday's 100 against Stirling County was his third century in four league innings – and it is Arbroath's turn today to try and stop him.

Drumpellier are at home to West Lothian in the remaining match.
