EDINBURGH WOLVES head coach Don Edmonston has called on the city gridiron side to capitalise on a convincing victory as they gear up for two tough back-to-back home games in the play-off hunt.
Edmonston praised the high-scoring performance which upset favourites Manchester Titans, and earned running back Allan Price the British American Football League's player of the week award, but warned that the Wolves must stay focused if they are to
cage the Glasgow Tigers on Sunday.
The Wolves are keen to avenge a Week One loss to Glasgow in a game which saw the young Edinburgh side crash to a 16-0 defeat to their west-coast rivals. But, after Price's award-winning heroics and a fierce defensive showing at Meadowbank stadium a fortnight ago, former Scottish Claymore Edmonston says the Wolves are more than capable of stepping up to the challenge.
He added: "The Tigers are always a hard team to play and this will be no different. They want to do the double on us and we need to keep winning to make the post-season. Since beating Manchester we have installed a few more wrinkles to our offence and we now have more options open to us."
The Glasgow match on Sunday at Meadowbank will kick off at 2.30pm.
The following week, Edinburgh face a rematch with Lancashire Wolverines, another side the Wolves are keen to settle a score with after a difficult away loss a few weeks back.
