PARTICK THISTLE boss Ian McCall has expressed an interest in taking Hibs striker Damon Gray back to Firhill on loan next season.
The youngster spent three months with the First Division side last term and was a regular in the Jags side which finished in sixth spot in the table.

Gray found the back of the net four times for the Glasgow outfit, with his most notable goal coming in a 1-1 draw against Rangers at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup quarter-final.

The 19-year-old forward is highly rated at Easter Road and made two top-team appearances last season but has Steven Fletcher, Colin Nish, Abdessalam Benjelloun, Clayton Donaldson and Ross Campbell currently ahead of him in the pecking order.

Talks between the clubs have yet to take place with Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen currently on holiday, however, McCall admitted he would be keen to utilise the players' skills again next season if Hibs were receptive to an approach.

"Hibs might want to keep him at the start of the season but I haven't had the chance to speak to Mixu about it yet. It's not something I would rule out happening," said McCall.

"He did very well for us and then probably needed left out for a few games, but we had to keep playing him.

"When he came back in he did really well and when he was scoring goals for us he did really well.

"I think he's a better player now as it's a different world from playing reserve football. He has aspects of his game that he needs to improve on but one thing that he's got going for him that a lot of strikers don't is that he's a top-notch natural finisher."

sending gray on loan to the jags is good for his development, and may be vital to hibs in the future. the same steps should be taken with ross campbell and kurtis byrne, maybe ross chisolm needs to be sent out as well.

Hard to believe that Nish, Donaldson and Campbell are ahead of him in the pecking order. These guys are absolute toilet. Gray looks more of a player than any of the afore mentioned.

#7 - DH.

I like open season.

Which is what's happening in Gorgie.

Aye, big name manager all right. In fact, those mentioned have HUGE names.

Good afternoon hobo's

Stop creaming yersel's about the happenings in Gorgie and suggest you get your own house in order, as well will claim back our kings of the capital title next season, normal service will be resumed have no fear on that front.

I mean Clayton, Campbell and Nish, not really getting SPL defences trembling now is it.

Of the 3 names mentioned in the Hearts story all three have more success as a manager than pantyliner, but hey ho expect you guys to over look the facts.

There is much knicker twisting and wrist sliting by some going on which is rather funny to read.

Good luck in your quest or mid table cr@ppyness again guys.

#13 shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh your boring with the same drivel you spout on here every day. Our house is in order compared to your shambles.

You refer to Clayton, Campbell & Nish not getting defences worried. Clayton scored 6 goals in 16 games and Nish scored 14 goals last season more than any 1 Jambo scored.

Damn if I was a defence and saw Jamie Mole, Callum "Dancing Boy" Elliot and Christian Nade lining up against me I certainly wouldnt be kacking it.

#13 show us the managerial records of these 3 guys that are after the job at Tynie. Also love the record of Mr Butcher as a manager. Sunderland Sacked, Coventry Sacked, Motherwell left to go to Sydney Utd where he was sacked then on to Brentford where funnily enough he was sacked.

Ahhh, welcome back Rolland. A Hibee on the wind up if ever there was one!!! Glad to hear your happy with the 3 names being talked about, I can see why they would excite you.

The only remaining issue is, what will they spend their 10M warchest on?

Hearts fans, believing for approx 3 years. (disclaimer: not all Jambo's)

Rolland,

I wasn't on here yesterday so it can't be the same drivel.

Butcher is being talked about as number 2 not the man in charge so not worried regarding his record, he may well learn a thing or two about being a manager. Anyway, don't think it will come off more likely one of the Eastern European guys and a Blackberry (we've upgrade from a fax machine for next season).

Pity Dub wasn't taking the bait.... was going for catch and release today as well.

Lenny the war chest is likely to be 6 - 8 mil now old boy and that included salaries of the new guys coming in.

Haha, the warchest is getting smaller every day. Its going to be 20 Euro's soon. I would be carefull, the exchange rate is not great just now.

I like you Jambo believers. Brighten up my day every time.

Is that why you posted your drivel twice today?

I agree with Dub & Dood, close season is boring & open season on the fiasco at Romanov towers is quite good is it not, can't be bothered playing that game myself.

Sad. Losers. Words becoming more and more common when describing the Hearts. And aye, I'm obsessed with the Hearts. You see, I love comedy, love it man. And whats going on on your side of town just now is certainly comic. Lapping it up. Cheers.

DH.

Good questions. Unlikely to be answered.

Don't be upset though. Don't turn to the dark side. As my father told me when I was a boy - "I'd rather be a jobby than a Jambo".

Words I've held onto and which are passed down the family tree. For my old man was a wise one.

As a Thistle fan who was there to witness Gray's goal against Rangers, I'd be delighted to see him back at Firhill. Best of luck to the Hibs for next season.

#31 = Cheers - you're a good man. I'd personally be happy to see hibs form a bond with another team for next season to farm out the laddies that are on the verge. Gray did well for Thistle, Thistle need some boys for a promotion push - Hey presto!!!!
