JONNY Tuffey grew up with Andy Goram as his idol and Rangers as his team but insists he will have no regrets if he helps to end the Ibrox side's quadruple dream this weekend.
The 21-year-old Partick Thistle goalkeeper has been in outstanding form for Thistle recently, and produced a man-of-the-match display to earn a clean sheet against First Division leaders Hamilton a fortnight ago.
His heroics have been rewarded wi
th the Irn-Bru Phenomenal player of the month award. And Tuffey is now relishing tomorrow's Scottish Cup quarter-final replay against Rangers at Firhill, as Ian McCall's side look to succeed where Sporting Lisbon failed.
He said: "These are the biggest games I have been involved in. We have a great chance with an excellent home record, so I hope that continues on Sunday. I supported Rangers as a boy, but I want to play well for the team I'm playing for now, and the priority is to win against them."
Rangers could only draw 1-1 with Partick at Ibrox last month, and had to come from behind with a Kris Boyd equaliser to ensure a replay. The Northern Ireland youngster has kept 11 clean sheets so far this season, and a 12th would be his most satisfying yet.
"We definitely have a chance," said Tuffey, "If you look at Aberdeen in the replay against Celtic, it just proves you can get a second pop at the Old Firm.
