SCOTTISH Hydro Electric Premiership champions Boroughmuir will launch their defence of the title with two derby matches.
'Muir kick off the campaign with a home fixture against Edinburgh Accies on August 30 then travel to face Currie the following weekend. The Meggetland men will have a new team manager at the helm, having appointed former winger Ally Maclean to the post. He succeeds Grant Wilson. Maclean was a prolific scorer for the club in the late 90s before moving south to join Bedford.

Premiership Two has also thrown up an engrossing opening day derby, with Musselburgh, who ended the season with a flourish to stave off relegation, welcoming rivals Haddington.

calm down #1 & 3. More than likely this was a last minute scramble to fill 1.5 remaining column inches.

"Quick, we need 100 words on anything you can think of..."

If Watsonians or Heriots had won the league last year it would probably have been about their first couple of games. It really isn't worth getting worked up about (in fact I can't work out why I'm even responding... I'll get my coat)
