WATSONIANS will learn tonight if they have to face Melrose's Kieran Cooney (prop) and John Dalziel (back row) in Saturday's Scottish Hydro Electric national cup semi-final at Meggetland when an appeal committee sits at Murrayfield.
Having been banned for six and three weeks respectively on April 3 following a match against Boroughmuir that left their skipper, Rory Couper, requiring plastic surgery to his ear, the cited pair are contesting the original verdicts.

An SRU spokesman said today: "I can confirm two Melrose players are appearing before an appeals panel tonight."
