WATSONIANS and Selkirk drew a thrilling Premier 1 clash in Edinburgh. The home side made a flying start when young Ashleah McCulloch scored a well worked converted try after two minutes. Selkirk fought back well though and indeed led 10-7 after 10 minutes. Watsonians regained the lead in the 18th minute thanks to a converted try by Harris Grant and eventually they had opened up a 20-13 lead at the interval.
Both sides scored tries early in the second half to set up an exciting last 30 minutes with the score 25-20 to the hosts. Sonians' Mark Rennie was sin-binned when Selkirk scored theirs and then they added another through Alex Dunbar with the second-row still off to lead 27-25 after 55 minutes.

McCulloch got his second try before Hendrie levelled things at 30-30 in the 74th minute.
