Airdrie United 0
Kilmarnock 3
DANNY Invincibile helped ease Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies' striker headache when he scored a double in a comfortable victory over First Division new boys Airdrie. With new signing Allan Russell injured for the start of the season, David Fernand
ez is currently the Rugby Park side's only fit recognised forward. However, Invincibile played in attack at Excelsior Stadium and, after Jamie Fowler had opened the scoring with a superb strike from 25 yards, the Australian netted a well-taken double.

Partick Thistle 0
Carlisle United 0

PARTICK Thistle manager Ian McCall admits his side are crying out for a new striker, after they drew a blank at home to English League One outfit Carlisle United. "We didn't take any of our chances – it doesn't take a genius to work out that we need someone," said McCall. Simon Donnelly went close for Thistle with a 20-yards strike, while Kevin McKinley blazed over from close range. SFA chief executive Gordon Smith watched his son Grant play for Carlisle.

Queen of the South 1
Burnley 1

A LATE equaliser saw Queen of the South manage a morale-boosting draw against Burnley, the English Championship side managed by Owen Coyle. Queens looked the more dangerous side for lengthy spells, but they fell behind against the run of play when new Burnley recruit Martin Paterson drilled home five minutes before the break. But The hosts got the leveller their play merited with seven minutes left courtesy of new striker Stewart Kean.

Inverness CT 4
St Johnstone 2

INVERNESS produced a superb attacking display to see off St Johnstone at Caledonian Stadium. Don Cowie, Ian Black, Andy Barrowman and Rory McAllister were all on target for Caley, who gave a first outing to goalkeeper Ryan Esson. However, the First Division side capitalised on a couple of defensive errors from the hosts to hit back through a Stevie Milne double. Inverness manager Craig Brewster said: "We produced some excellent football and some terrific goals."

Livingston 0
Celtic XI 2

LIVINGSTON were outclassed by a Celtic reserve team which started with Thomas Gravesen and Derek Riordan paired together in attack. However, the Dane suffered the ignominy of being substituted at half-time after an error-strewn display in the first 45 minutes. Celtic took the lead three minutes before the interval when Kevin Cawley latched on to Rocco Quinn's pass and beat Livingston's trialist goalkeeper. Danny Lafferty sealed the win for the visitors in the 63rd minute.

Obviously no one bothered tae go tae Almondvale on Sat as Livi were not outclassed and played the better football. The Celtic keeper made at least two outstanding saves that denied Livi and as for Riordan he was not at the races and was booked for bad foul after being taunted by the home fans. What manager would pay money for this guy on this showing?

You've gotta hand it to Walter (no surname and in whom we trust).

Fresh off his 2nd full season of league failure (remember he got sacked after the first in 98), he goes into another full season with his ReaRangers Team a distant 2nd favourite to the Mighty Celtic.

Without the funds he had at his dosposal to win the NIAR and without the support of the SPL/SFA (he chucked them for goodness sakes) he has to use his managerial nous to overtake WGS. Clearly he is twitching badly at the challenge.

What does he do?? The Chairman will sack him (again), people will ask questions of his ability ("see he cannae dae it withoot the money") and all credibility will be lost.

We all trust in Walter - he knows what to do. Send for Kenny Misser!!

In any crisis, when things are going wrong, when you are destined to fail, one thing can bail you out - the patsy, the stooge, the fall guy....the scape goat.

Watching a dejected Kenny Misser trot off the park on Sat to a chorus of boo's, it was a clear fait accompli by Walter.

No discussion on the abject tactics (more 4-5-1), no discussion on ReaRangers continued injuries ("just what are they doing at Minty Park")....nope. A barrage of "its aw Kenny Missers fault...lets boo him and shout at him and call him names.

If and when the Champs league qualification falls on its chorus and verse, poor Kenny's gonna cop it big time.

See that Walter (no surname and in whom we trust) - a flippin' genius!!

Yet another Celtic cyber hooligan that is totally obsessed with everything Rangers. Sad really! Not an hour goes by without one of them having a go at Scotland`s premier club. Poor tortured souls!

7 - not sure you qualify as a "cyber hooligan". Despite the filth you post.

Your more of the Alf Garnett type. Your probably sat in front of your pc with your lovely cardigan on sipping tea from your lady di cup.

The vision of your contorted face as George Alagiah reads the news is a great source of humour for me.

Go on - give us the "rivers of blood" speach!!

You know you want to.

Nothing to say about the football as usual. Fester away in your sad bigoted world and dream that everyone hates you! You sound like Bosco Bhoy!

Just like the burd out of terminator 2, the Riot Survivor keeps himself in tip top, green beret type condition to keep ahead in the fight against Raging Ranger Syndrome.

Whilst on a 70 mile run yesterday, I had the opportunity to run through "Glesga Green".

My good gawd. I discovered a colony of RRS sufferers from the burrough of Bridgeton.

Apparently, its the festival of "Ra Glesga Fair" and they were out in the open with a few carousels on show for the "ra weans".

Many of the ladies chose to wear "joggies" which did nothing to emphasise the gold jewellary they were wearing. In fact some of the gold seemed to leave a green residue on their white ReaRangers strips.

Many small kids were about. Do all RRS sufferers call their kids "Chelsea"?

All said, it was a further level of understanding for the Riot Survivor into the world of RRS sufferers.

10....SoR

It would appear you had a lucky escape....whilst running through Glesga Green....

You clearly avoided a close up of the female Rearrangers fizzog in their Rearrangers tops....

Decayed and missing teeth...alcohol bloated and twisted faces...with the usual tattoo riddled markings...not the sort of thing you want to get close to in daylight never mind a dark alley!

Indeed you are a lucky man...

Before you go and make yersell look as daft as dafty boy ninny.....

I didn't state I would only post about football or that I would only post about Celtic.....

No sireee....that honour is bestowed upon dungeon boy Ninny....who posts about Celtic....and then....this does make me chuckle...states a Celtic poster is obsessed by posting about Rearrangers......

Irony indeed.....

I agree pre-season friendlies are a bit of a drag.

14 - if I were a schalke fan, I'd be going ballistic.

All those Euro's spent to watch a team keep 10 men behind the ball.

Still - you guys have got the glamour game with Liverpool to look forward to.

2 teams with 10 European cups between them!!

That'll be a peach

WATP - why thank you!

I always aim to please

Where you at "Ra Glesga Fair" event in Glesga Green yesterday?

Did you pull a burd and wake up to your new family this morning, Chelsea, Nike and Addidas?

Do you agree that over a course of a season, Derek Riordan would score more goals than Kenny Misser?

My boy played on the pitch before kick off and so I had little option as he was staying for the match with friends. I would have chosen Rangers v Shalke if I had the choice. I thought that Miller was the best Celt on show in midfield and the Celtic keeper made some good saves but seems a little short for a goalie. Why Celtic don`t just pay Graveson off is strange!

For years people regarded as persona non gratis were, "sent to coventry"

I think a more apt description now is "sent on the Boydie Bus".

On there we have Boydie himself, Cooserse, Gravesen and Riordan.

To use in context:

"the Raging Ranger Syndrome sufferers whose filth mongering stopped, have been sent on the Boydie Bus by the Hootsman Moderators"
