TRAILING by seven points, Watsonians threw everything at Heriot's and in the third minute of stoppage time winger Richard Minto forced his way over in the corner. Unfortunately for the Myreside men, Mike Ker, who had barely come on to the pitch as a replacement, saw his conversion attempt fade just outside the post and Heriot's had the win.
Heriot's were in charge in the first half and ran up a 14-3 lead before the visitors had the better of the second period and pulled it back.

Heriot's had a try from Marc Teague when Jamie Syme pinched ball from the back of a ruck and released the winger on a powerful solo run from the half-way line. Graham Wilson missed the conversion, but slotted five penalties.

Ben Di Rollo opened Watsonians' account with a penalty, and added a drop-goal and then the conversion of a great Tupu Saena try.
