SCOTT Harrison, the former boxing world champion, appeared in court yesterday charged with possessing drugs.
The 29-year-old, from Cambuslang, was arrested in Glasgow on Tuesday night.

At the city's sheriff court, he denied possessing the class C drug Valium and another charge of assault from July last year.

He was released on bail and caught a flight to Malaga, Spain, where he is due today to face charges of assault and the attempted theft of a car.

Harrison's manager, Barry Hughes, said after the short appearance: "I am just very grateful to the court to give Scott the opportunity to go to Spain and sort things out there.

Could the attempt by Scott Harrison's father to stop newsreel filming of his son's exit from court yesterday be born of a growing realisation that he is thoroughly ashamed of him?

I hope for Scott's sake all he had on him was Valium! Im hoping he is not into the other drugs that take over your wellbeing, crystal meth, crack, etc. The fact he went to Spain to deal with his problems over there is positive.Maybe the judge will be leinent with the wee lad! Hopefully he can fix the problems at home and start the cleansing process and get his body in tip top shape. As I told you before Scott, you can do it. it is mind over matter. Try to get some professional counselling immediately. The program to better health has to start now, not next week. Maybe find some different friends. You are 29, the clock keeps ticking, you still have it in you to prepare for another world shot!
You still have some people around you who care for you, show them some respect, especially your father. Blood is thicker than coal-oil.I am still hoping you make headlines for all the right reasons, so get your ass in gear, get your head cleared, and give your daddy a big hug.
wee jock
