TROUBLED former world boxing champion Scott Harrison had his Spanish court case postponed yesterday.
The 29-year-old, from Cambuslang, near Glasgow, was due to appear in court in Malaga to face charges of assault and attempted theft dating back to October.
On Thursday he was released on bail by a court in Glasgow after being arrested on Tuesday night, allegedly in possession of the drug valium.
His manager Barry Hughes said he was planning to send a fax to the court from Harrison's doctor, seeking a postponement.
Yesterday the case was put back to 15 March after the court accepted the reasons for Harrison's no-show.
Harrison, who is trained by his father, Peter, spent almost five weeks in a Spanish jail after he was arrested on 6 October.
He was detained by the Guardia Civil in the Costa del Sol over allegations of assault and trying to steal a car.
Harrison is also due to be in court in Glasgow on Monday in relation to another alleged incident.
