Former boxing world champion Scott Harrison arrested

FORMER world champion boxer Scott Harrison has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, it emerged today.
Harrison, 30, was stopped by police in his car in Ferniegair, Lanarkshire, on April 22.

He was formally arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and was taken to nearby Hamilton police station for questioning.

A Strathclyde Police spokeswoman said: "A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged road traffic offence on Tuesday, April 22. Inquiries are ongoing."

Strathclyde Police confirmed there had been a girl in the car with the former world featherweight champion, but could not give any more details.
