AN AUSPICIOUS April for Allan Maitland could become a memorable May if his Alloa side can successfully defend their 2-1 advantage going into today's First Division play-off semi-final second leg against Clyde.
The Second Division manager of the month takes his team to Broadwood with attack very much on his mind. "We are going there to get at least a goal. There is no point trying to defend a one goal lead," he said. "Sitting back for a draw just invites pressure."
Clyde will still be without former Rangers midfielder Jorg Albertz and defender Neil McGregor is suspended.
A full-strength Stranraer will welcome Montrose following their 1-1 draw in midweek. The Angus side are without suspended top-scorer John Baird.
At Central Park, Cowdenbeath and Arbroath also start poised at 1-1. Alan Rattray is suspended for Arbroath and Bryan Scott is rated as very doubtful
