EDINBURGH'S Robert Carlisle lost out to Scott McKenzie of Erskine in the final of Main Tour Event 4 at the Capital's Locarno Snooker Club.
It was McKenzie's second Main Tour Event win in succession and he returned to No.1 in the Scottish rankings after his 5-3 victory.

In a high-quality encounter where both players demonstrated some excellent play and break-building, McKenzie needed all of his experience to prevent Carlisle from winning his first main tour title.

Carlisle started well with a 45 to win the first but an excellent 105 break from former professional McKenzie levelled the match. Further breaks of 47 and 52 helped Carlisle to a 3-2 lead. Carlisle was 41 points ahead in frame six but McKenzie produced a superb 64 to level the match and took control to win the last two frames.
