EDINBURGH'S Robert Carlisle will meet Alloa's Eden Sharav in the final of the East of Scotland Snooker Championship final.
Carlisle put in a terrific performance against Perth's Bobby Cruikshanks in the semi-final, winning by four frames to one.

After a narrow 4-3 victory against 2004 champion Michael Gallacher in the quarter-final, Carlisle rattled off the last three frames against Cruikshanks after a 64 break by Cruikshanks had levelled at 1-1.

Carlisle showed great composure and potting ability to book his place in the final for the first time.

Sharav had a similar route to his first East of Scotland final. After an excellent 4-3 victory over former main tour player Craig McGillivray of Edinburgh in the quarter-finals, Sharav enjoyed a 4-1 win over Bonnyrigg's Michael Leslie in the semi-final.

That win included a break of 115 in the first frame and a 66 break to win the last frame.

The final between Carlisle and Sharav, the last two of 64 players who entered the event, will take place at the Matchroom, Edinburgh Corn Exchange, on Wednesday at 7pm.
