HEARTS face a potential £40,000 fine from the Scottish Football Association for their poor disciplinary record this season, the Evening News can reveal.
Gary Glen incurred the Edinburgh club's ninth red card of the campaign against Gretna on Tuesday night, which is expected to result in hefty sanction.

The SFA warned Hearts about their players' conduct back in January following four red cards and a series of yellows during the first half of the campaign. However, five further dismissals since the turn of the year will prompt the governing body's disciplinary committee to take action.

Glen, Calum Elliot (twice), Christian Nade, Michael Stewart (twice), Eduardas Kurskis, Marius Zaliukas and Lee Wallace have all been ordered off this season.

It would be the fourth consecutive year that the SFA have meted out disciplinary punishment to Hearts. A £5000 fine was imposed in 2005, which doubled to £10,000 in 2006 and doubled again to £20,000 last year. The SFA's policy of multiplying fines for repeat offenders means a £40,000 sanction is now likely.

Drew Herbertson, head of the disciplinary department at Hampden, told the Evening News: "Hearts were warned by ourselves in January about their disciplinary record for the first half of the season between the months of August and December.

"In due course, the disciplinary committee will come to consider the disciplinary analysis for this season. At that juncture, they will take a view on the records of the clubs which come under scrutiny.

"It's entirely a matter for the committee to take a view on Hearts if they are at the wrong end of the table. What sanction is applied to the club is at the committee's discretion when it comes to repeat offenders."

Zaliukas was assessed by medical staff at Riccarton yesterday but the head knock which forced him off against Gretna is not serious. "He's fine, it wasn't a bad injury so he can go home to Lithuania now with a clean bill of health," said Stephen Frail, the interim manager.

Meanwhile, Hearts fielded a team containing mostly reserve and under-19 players yesterday in a closed-doors friendly with Queen of the South at Riccarton. The Dumfriesshire side won the game 1-0 as they continue preparations for the Scottish Cup final against Rangers.

"I was pleased with the performance of our team because it was a very young side and they were playing the Scottish Cup finalists," said Frail. "Players like Craig Sives, who has hardly played since being on loan at Dundee earlier this season, were involved so it was a worthwhile exercise."

The Manager,

Ukio Bankas, Castle Street 15/05/2008 11:52:52

If Hearts think they're getting another overdraft extension to pay this they can think again. If they can get some more season ticket money in then I'll sit down and discuss a possible extension.

The trouble is the money is out of the account just as soon as it enters.

Sign up for your season tickets. We need the cash!

First of all: R.I.P Tommy, a good man who will be sadly missed.

Re: Story: 40,000?... I am Jack's complete lack of surprise. Refs are poor but we have to take some resposibility for this ourselves... You need a decent management infrastructure to address this.

#1 Serg': Nobody cares about the opinions of a sad little boy who spent 18 months of his pathetic little existense pretending to be Lithuanian and even insulting his fellow Hibs fans calling them scum etc in order to try and win favour among the Hearts fans before turning on them.

You are as sad as he who must not be named and a laughing stock to all who were witness to your sad little enterprise.

You also cloned people's I.D's and pretended to be them.

Question: Is your life really that empty and hopeless that you have to continually pretend to be someone you are not in order to feel comfortable conversing with normal people?

BLANK the PLANK

For a while I do think we had a disciplinary problem this season but nowhere near as bad it was made out. Perhaps partly to our own doing, we are the club everyone loves to hate and DO get worse treatment from referee's and the SFA because they know no-one will back Hearts up and we have a mad-cap owner.

Had to laugh at "Walters Proud Scottish Bravehearts" yesterday. Those people are the scurge of not just Scottish football but Scotland. How many Saltires did you see last night?

Jam Tarts 1874,

On the Rebound 15/05/2008 12:05:23
Much of this has come about due to the lack of a decent leader on the pitch as per the other discussions. All the other teams have players who are constantly in the faces of the referees, putting the case for their players, doing their best to influence proceedings etc etc. We just don't have that and it costs us.

Some of the red cards this season have been terrible decisions by the officials, particularly the debacle at Tannadice in January and Stewart's nonesense at Gretna. I am glad Elliot was sent off a couple of times though - otherwise he might have played more often.

I saw one saltire... 150, 000 Scots and one saltire?

Thank crivvens for that too as i would hate someone to associate that bunch of animals with our country, Representatives of Scotland???

Stabbings, bottles thrown, topless 50-odd year olds (both sexes), cars overturned, offensive sectarian banners and songs.

yeah, I will really be backing that lot in anything?

good for Scottish football???... My aching sides!

Glad they were horsed and hope QOS do the same to them.

#12 I had the lunchtime news on at home... 1.30pm Manchester City Centre they were praising Rangers and there fans yet in the background were thousands signing "billy boys.... up to our knees in..."

Yer great group of people, red hands, union jacks, ulster brigade. Disgusting. I hope they don't come back, lets face it they want to be in England anyway.

Bring on the abuse.........

I was DELIGHTED that Rangers got pumped last night. Outside of the Old Firm I will support any SCOTTISH side in Europe, even once every 10 years when Hibs get in, Intertattie aside.

The Old Firm are despised by many, loved by a bigoted minority of our population and I nearly wet myself laughing at the greetin faced wee bigots, sharing a bottle of buckie on the way home no doubt.

Rangers scum deserved everything they had coming.

Jamboy, I was watching the build up on the news leading up to the game and the group of fans behind the reporter had the Union Jack with the red hand of ulster. I was under the impression that sort of stuff was banned?

I did however notice the one saltire that you mentioned! If Im correct it was hung over the second tier in between a few union jacks. If not then there must have been two!! Shock horror!

The saddest thing of all is that these in-bred neanderthal's are teaching their children the same sectarian, anti-catholic filth that they too were taught as a child.

They are absolute filth and I am OVERJOYED they got pumped last night.

9 red cards, ok. 2 of those brandished were an absolute joke:

Michael Stewart v Gretna at Fir Park, barely skiffed some Gretna players chest and the guy went down like a ton of bricks with his hand over his eye. Cheating, simulation, ref reacted to it.

Eduardis Kurskis, at Tynecastle, can't remember the opponents. Merely lifted his glove to some forward who had just fouled him.

Now compare this to the offences continually committed, and overlooked, by Old Firm players:

Barry Ferguson squeezing the throat of Chris Maguire, unpunished!

Daniel Cousin putting his head to Lee Wilie, unpunished.

Well done SFA, good work

JT&T there was a moment just before the Zenit goal when Rangers had a throw in on the far side. With 20 minutes to go they were even then trying to waste time, im sure Archie even made a comment. Would have been a travesty if the cup had gone to Rangers.

As for the fans in Manchester, I have heard similar stories from friends (i use that term loosely ;o) that made the trip. Whether or not it was started by the minority the majority joined in with the singing etc and the general drunken behaviour was always to be expected.

One of the major problems was the fact that the majority of the Rangers fans banned from travelling to away games in europe were free to head down the road to manchester. I predicted to my mates last night before the game that the riot police would be out by 10pm! Silly me I suppose giving the Gers fans the benefit of the doubt that they would at least wait til half time before rioting!!

Ha Ha Ha Smith (backstabbing scumbag) played his usual "no score bore football" and when zenit scored he then spent the next 5 mins with his head in the clipboard wondering what he should do. (this wasnt in his plans and i think he expected to get extra time at 0-0) So well done rankers your team pathetic and your fans are animals. Ban the soapdodgers from europe next year give the extra champ league place to Motherwell and that way Dundee utd can get the other cup spot.

SFA website, not a word of the rankers debacle from last night.

Spl website, Rankers are not going to have an open top failure bus tour of glasgow due to the death of tommy burns. OH REALLY so its not because they are too ashamed of themselfs and the fans to do it.

Do you think they would have adopted the same respectfull policy if they had actually won the cup (not a chance).

Maybe they can ask SPL/SFA or god even to extend the summer and postppone the start of next season so they can all have a good summer break.

vlad highlighted how corrupt the refs are and got laughed out of town with a fine to boot. but now they are all shouting out. brines sent fyssas off and then came out saying it was a mistake..very good but celtic already got the 3 points so....again brines disallows aberdeen goal to come out a day later saying sorry it was a mistake......

i personally dont think the refs coming out and saying sorry is doing any good at all and in my opinion is almost making it worse.
they are meant to explain but they just say it was a mistake or didnt have a good view when the truth is it was rangers or celtic....what did you want me to upset them!!???

im sure the explanation for fergusons basketball in the semi was goncalves had just got away with a handball....that says it all really. we are still suffereing from leveins outburst when he was with us and for mikos "assault" on andy davis.

i fully expect dundee utd to start getting even dodgier decisions now....

think you have to feel a lttle sorry for the fans who travelled to watch it on the big screen which didnt work!! think i would have been well pi**ed off too!!

still....it was rangers fans!!!...so its alot funnier but i can see why they started throwing stuff etc..

still a scurge on society along with their "we arent sectarian" counterparts and football was the real winner last night. the shots of the ugly greetin faced rangers fans were priceless!! boy did i laugh.

sad day that tommy burns passed away. a great football man who had a love of the game that is all too rare in the modern day footballer. best wishes to his family.

#72 - I was actually at Manchester last night and to be fair to the Rangers fans there were small pockets of people who were causing problems, the vast majority behaved themselves, they were noisy, they were disapointed but in the main they behaved. The major issue was that around 40000 were jammed into a fans zone to watch the game when the screen failed and they never got to see the match. I listened to the Radio this morning where the Manchester Police Chief said that 30 fans were arrested, all for minor offences and with regard the fans who were arrested in relation to the stabbing incident, there were two other stabbing incidents reported on the same bulletin both non football related, so give those fans a break.

74 Busby, just watching those links on skynews and it is actually so much worse than i actually first thought!! Absolute disgrace, there must be about 20-30 jumping on one copper!! Then you see them all fighting amongst themselves!! Completely unbelievable.

The best thing the SPL can do for Scottish football is withdraw these yobs from european competition before uefa enforces it!

johnny jambo, take a look at the link above from sky news then i can assure you you will be changing your statement. I appreciate that one third of 100000 is classed as the minority but come on!!!

I spoke to a mate who was down there as well and he said that it was realtively good atmosphere in certain areas but to get home he had to go through mass riots and folk running literally for their lifes.

#84 Having watched the news and watching rangers fans punch each other why should I give them a break.

If I was ever fortunate enough to watch Hearts in a European final I would like to think I would be having banter and a good time with fellow Hearts fans.

I don't care how much they had to drink, the big screen cutting out etc - make the most of the occasion.

The fans involved in trouble last night are total morons!!

Breaking my own rule about posting on a Hearts thread here, but in response to some of the previous contributions.

Do you think yesterday was the most Union Jacks Manchester has seen since the Queen's Jubilee in '77 or do we have to go back to the actual Coronation to top the wonderful Rangers support?

I understand from a friend in Northern Ireland that when Scotland play England the majority of Ulstermen want England to win. Is this the same for Rangers fans?
87

Rolland,

15/05/2008 13:54:05
#77 - I bet every fan off every othe SPL team are hoping they are not hypocritics. How nice would it be to watch a game without them smelly soap dodging peg selling scum bags, can you imagine not hear they're bigotority for the 90 mins it would be nice so please do stay away from all grounds.
88

Maroon tinted glasses,

84, Dont come on this site with the word jambo in your name and actually stick up for them, just remeber the only reason they all travelled 240 miles to manc-chester was to watch the telly (how sad can you get) without the risk of the detector vans turning up at half time. funnily enough i bet that most of the 33000 fans at 5h1tbrox had never even been to a game before. I say ha ha ha to them
89

Lenny,

Have to agree with you all here, Rangers fans were a complete disgrace last night. Scotlands shame indeed. Strangely however, reading the Daily Record this morning (I know, I know, but it was sitting on the train!!) I was under the impression that the Rangers fans had been attacked by the Police!!! Which is not exactly how it looked on the CCTV footage I just saw. In fact it looked like about a hundred in-bred cowards in Union Jacks attacking one police man!

I hope UEFA throw the book at them.
90

busbyfh,

15/05/2008 13:56:37
Surprising that there has not already been e-mailed pi55 takes out of Rangers and their fans yet.

Unfortunately , as some of them will still be bitter about last night and will get wound up about the guaranteed forthcoming pi55takes - Some of them will stoop to concocting some twisted and tasteless wind ups about Tommy Burns (one of the good guys)
91

Johnny Jambo,

15/05/2008 14:00:36
#90 and others, I have seen Sky News footage and I agree that there was some trouble, but again it was a minority.

I just wonder how us Hearts fans would behave if we had travelled to a Final to watch a game on a big screen only to find that the screen didn't work and we could not see the game, would behave or any other teams fans come to that.

Shocking behaviour by these pea brained H-uns on Sky News report.

Fan blames the TV breakdown? Manchester put up the TVs as a concession to those who could'nt get to the match and this is how they are repaid. H-uns didn't have a God given right to watch the game, they should be thankful for what they got. Had to laugh at the Buckie bottle!

Tommy Burns - a real gentleman and one who was always was quick to support Scotland, depsite the shabby was he wasa treated by the SFA. A very sad loss to Scottish Football.

As for Rangers - how glad I am that they are a British/Northen Ireland club and not Scottish. yet again their fans were an absolute disgrace -attempted murder, rioting, attacking police innocent bystanders and ambulance men. A small minority - funny how a small minority can cause usch mayhem. In any decent society their supporters would be simply be banned and the club demoted to the league below. What will the SFA do? -hee haw.

In defence of the guy who is sprawled across the front pages bleeding on the ground (wearing a saltire might I add) if you look at the video on the daily record page you can actually see him and his mate trying to escape the melee by moving in the other direction from the police. The police just seem to stemroll right over him and knock him to the ground. Watch as his mate tries to put his fag back in his mouth as he lies bleeding.

#102. I notice that Rangers FC's official statement on their website carries no apology, it does howevever point to the big screen breakdown. Well, my understanding is that the big screen failed at around 7.00pm, the clips the Sky Sports have been showing (which are now on the BBC website) show the time as 10.17pm when Rangers fans were attacking police.

No doubt we will get a statement soon from Gordon Smith telling us how thankful we should be to have a big team like Rangers to be proud of!

Hiding behind the fact that there was only 40 arrests is really not an excuse either. As with all incidents like this cctv footage will be studied over coming weeks and no doubt several hundred photo-fits will be sent to Ibrox and scottish police forces etc. Arrests will continue for months. Imagine how many officers had to leave the scene with the 40 arrested, it just isnt practical or possible to get them all. Fingers crossed their time will come!

BTO, jus stop it, your disgrace of a support has been caught a their inimitable worst in fll view of the global public.
It made the news here in Oz. APP and Reuters are both laying the blame firmly at the door of smelly Psuedo English Weedgies while acknowledging the fact a TV broke down.
If my TV bursts I dont start hitting people around me and if i'm a guest watching someone else's TV i most certainly dont start hitting them for it's lack of picture.
Besides which it did those dopey eejits a favour, I mean who really wants to watch the brand of cattenacio defensive mediocrity that the Follow followers have been offering up all season.

115 - erm, no it doesn't. None of the tabloids in this country report 'the news' without bias, that's a simple fact of life unfortunately. Even the majority of the broadsheets publish celebrity-obsessed bullsh*t instead of telling us what's actually going on in the world. The purpose of a newspaper now is not to give us the news, but to give its proprietors' increased circulation figures.

What would a communist paper be, by the way? Any one that doesn't agree with the Daily Ranger?

129 - so pretty much every 'paper in the UK then?

They all peddle the myth that everything is great, that the gulf between the worst off and the best off in our society isn't actually bigger than it has been in decades, and distract the proles from the real issues by showing nice shiny pictures of what Coleen had for breakfast, interspersed with articles saying how Gypsies/tramps/theives (insert this month's bete noir) are the cause of all the world's ills, not the rich b*stards creaming it off the rest of us.

Sorry, bit heavy for a football thread I know! But arguing which one is the best is a bit like arguing about whether Stalin or Hitler was the most mental. Or indeed like Hibs and Hearts arguing about who did worst this season!

A disgracleful support with a disgraceful history of hatered for a disgrace of a football team. And to blame everything but themselves smacks of the preferentail treatment and ability to do as they please without question attitude the OF have had in this country for far too long. I wish we could just talk about how much the russians deserved to win last night but the scence in Manchestser are a complete embarrassment for all good scots. I am no big fan of Celtic but they showed how to party and lose with dignity as they did in Spain. Its somewhat sad that the scenes last night are in sharp contrast to the loss of Tommy Burns, a scottish great and a man of decency and one who I would have loved to have been connected with Hearts.

I have never claimed to be voice of all my fellow Jambos, some probably hate me for being in a mixed race relationship and being an atheist.

However you are so pathetic that you choose to ignore the fact that every hearts and Hibs fan on here except Serg' has condemned the actions of the rangers support and left rather touching tributes to the late Tommy Burns.

You are the blinkered one that despite the sick actions down south you still claim that hearts are the one support out of twelve that don't have a 'decent' support, thereby suggesting that the Rangers' fans behaviour is decent and that our sympathies to the Burns' and our hatred of the sectarian scum is somehow indecent.

You have hated us so long that you have lost all reason and now align yourself with the fascists you claim to hate in order to have cheap digs at us...

#212 Fraid not. I think McCann and Tall were the only ones whose contracts were up at the end of this season (don't hold me to that - I just can't remember any other names right now).
There are probably a few players whose loans are up renewal at the end of the season though. Wouldn't hold my breath on those ones though...

Now you mention that I have often wondered about the following.

We all know a whole host of animals have venow. Snakes, spiders etc etc etc all can kill a human. Do we have the ability to kill with a bite?? Has our very own saliva been tested on animals? I know it might have in Wales but that will go un reported!!

If I take a bite out my neighbours cat for crapping in the garden, will it drop down dead in a matter of seconds?

Random I know but you need to ask these things now n again:0)

Vlad, I would think it would be unlikely for someone to drop dead as a result of a human bite although that may depend on which human does the biting.

229 - I know what your saying, of course one or two muppets but not 30 or 40 thousand.

The SFA should act now, and ban the bears from representing Scotland and every other team should put pressure on them to do so before UEFA blanket ban all Scottish clubs because of the way the blue noses behave. Lets boycot Ibrox until the SFA ban them !!

Conspiracy theory no more.

Graham Spiers today has at last admitted what many of us suspected ....Rangers have oficially requested the aid of newspaper, radio and television bigwigs to cover up most of the bigotted BS that is wrapped around Rangers Football Club.
NOT just for last night but for the last few years. Ibrox top brass have admitted that they are getting nowhere with the anti bigots campaign and are being helped by high placed bowler hat wearers to keep down nearly all the negative press.
Basically if a journalist comes across a "scoop" that is detramental to Rangers it gets as far as the editors desk and is either binned or greatly toned down.
Whatever happened to the free press - It is not being controlled by the government but by men with funny handshakes.
Why should Rangers get off with this when a dictive went round two years ago to "get everything you have about Hearts and Romanov". The press hounded Hearts and ripped them to shreds.....they are still doing so...Yet Rangers have their "bad news" binned.
Spiers risks an awful lot by coming clean and damning his own profession - God knows what will happen to his future as a journalist.
Want a tiny bit of an example. The "star" Ewan Cameron on Real radio has been on for half an hour so far and is only allowing people on to talk about Tommy Burns...Quite right , Burns' unfortunate death deserves a lot more , but why are folk not allowed on to his radio program to talk about the biggest talking point within Scottish Football this season.........the UEFA cup final AND THE RIOTS.
Once again - quell the bad news concerning Rangers.

Stop setting the agenda and allow freedom of speach. Or are you too , dancing to a tune ?

Well busby and victorian, I have to say that the events in Manchester last night and the cover-up attempts from certain areas of the media etc, only make me more hopeful that Romanov's money will eventually wipe the smiles off the faces of the guilty.

May have to be very patient though! The only other way of Hearts regularly challenging would be if some die-hard Jambo won £100m on Euro-Millions!

I am off to watch England v Scotland legends on ITV4, ex-Hearts players expected to be involved: Durie, Jackson, McPherson and McKinlay. Scotland's flair will be ably provided by Collins! lol!

First, condolences to Tommy Burns's family, one of the genuine good guys of football no matter which team you support. Re last night, this blows the Rangers supporters claims of good behaviour, no arrests in Europe etc. out of the water. It was always bubbling just under the surface anyway and you can hear the vile chants at every game on T.V.despite what Gordon Smith and all the other apologists say.Add to that the obvious bias towards the Old Firm by the media, the foot ball authorities, the bottling by referees & the way visiting fans are treated in Glasgow and you have to say Craig Levein was spot on. It's time that all clubs and fans got together and said "enough is enough". For me, I am happier as a Jambo despite our horrendous season, than I ever would be as an old firm supporter for all their cups and flags.

Is it not ironic that the team who humped Rangers in the final had St Peter included in their name. Let's now see how the media and SFA will sweep this shameful display of violence by their support under the carpet. They will allow the Referees to carry on as usual next season, the corruption will just continue as usual, one thing, the Premiership clubs won't touch you with a barge pole now, so you are stuck with the SPL.
245

busbyfh,

Plantagenet

The weegies still had a small - VERY small chance of the English Premiership until yesterday - Now Rangers especially have NO CHANCE to EVER be allowed into the EPL. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
Rangers have now definately also spoilt it for Celtic AND
They have also spoilt the Man Utd fans "party" next week. All the giant screens contracted to certain areas in Manchester next Wednesday have been cancelled on the advice of the police - those that can still communicate though there is seemingly an alsation that cannot- It has just been diagnosed as contracting rabies. Police are looking for a Glaswegian thigh as evidence of the disease carrier.
Gordon Brown has damned Rangers fans as it might hinder the english attempts to get the world cup held in a few years time.Hells bells - they have even spoilt things for the people they aspire to be - English. Boy are these bowler hatted a55holes unpopular right now.

How did this thread (about HOMFC's discipline problems) switch to a (rightly deserved)criticism of Rangers' supporters? I think the 'entitlement' mentality of the Romanovs has given our club a bad name, and we have, this year not been angels on the pitch. One thing a club can do is set standards about players' behaviour on the field and watch what officials say about referees performances, etc. In this regard you will note that Rangers had no red or yellow cards against Zenit- an achievemnt seldom equalled by my team this year. Rangers do have a section of their supporters who are complete idiots but that has little to do with our problems.

These excuses that are coming out of Ibrox are basically one thing .....................
A pack of porkies ....The thing is they are showing just how thick they can be as due to the internet , I have heard that people can actually go on something called the web and see things for themselves. EVERYONE can now see the untruths coming out of Mordor.

# 320
There was a transcript from Victorian posted via numbers 257 and 259 but there is a Gers fans working these boards and you find that anything that gets too hurtful about the blue noses is "moderated". The transcript is therefore wiped , but you can read Graham Spiers' article from yesterday in the times - go to the times site now before our friendly moderator wipes this AND THE TIMES for printing it.
He basically blows open the so called "conspiracy" that Rangers also rule the media. He will suffer for coming clean - Full marks to the man - Not for the first time.

MORNING,

GGTTH#1, Not sure where the Graham Spiers story from yesterday came from BUT he admitted on the footy phone in a few weeks back that all press (a couple of years ago i think)had been asked by rankers (during a meeting) to dumb down on the amount of bad press produced regarding the animals and bile. He refused to comprimise his integrity (if you can use that word in relation to a journo) and therefor has all but blown his relationship with rankers, If you would care to email ewan cameroon at the footy phone in then he would confirm this info for you.

Spiers has come up with a couple of cracking articles int he last few days (in fact, most of the articles in the Times have - rightly - been less than complimentary).

There's this one from today where he gets stuck in to the Gers thugs:

And this one from yesterday, with the killer quote "The club has begged Scottish reporters and editors to play it all down, because it "harms the image" of Glasgow and Scotland. Rangers themselves have hired a PR agency over the last two years, asked to perform what is euphemistically called "damage limitation" when it comes to these repeated embarrassments for the club."

Cheers Busby, there it is there MTG.
I listened to Real Radio last night and tbh the Tommy Burns passing did understandably take priority on the phone in. Quite convenient for Euan Cameron after the nonsense he has been spouting for the last few weeks about how the whole of Scotland is behind Rangers etc. That is coming from a Hearts fan aswell, if he was a Hibee he would be disowned and outcast! What do you make of him?

I have no problem with ewan (hearts fan or not) and think that due to the nature of the work he has to do is in a very difficult position but do think rankers have possibly infiltrated him also (but then why bring the issue up on the RRFPI). Anyway its the only scottish footy radio show where the presenter has no west coast "TWANG" (bigman, naw).

Morning JT&T

Agreed, he really does rile me. Even with his stance on the league extension for Rangers he did not let one person opposing this get a word in edgeways!! For some reason though I just cant seem to stop tuning in! It reminds me of the old only an excuse sketch from a few years back...

Jim White - Hello caller, I believe you are on to discuss the Glasgow Rangers.....?

Caller - Well em no actually, I just said that to get on the show...

JW - Oh really...erm see you later then!

I agree with the general feeling here, great article by Spiers who basically told it how it is. There i also a decent article by Leckie in one of todays red-tops.

Im still stunned by the dismissive reporting yesterday by that joke of a paper the Record.

From todays reports it sounds like no action will be taken against Rangers. Incredible! They should be banned at the very least.

Do you think there is any chance of rangers being banned from europe and in turn motherwell get there CL place therefore creating an extra UEFA spot for fourth place?

Or am I just clutching at straws??

Not to be totaly naive or anything but can a regular person not just phone up the police and make and say that they suspect rangers of match fixing and use the 'incidents' that we were all talking about yesterday as the reason for their suspicions... Perhaps Speirs would even offer some evidence?

As for Ewen Cameron GGTTH#1 I fluffin' despise the little shilling taking weasel... Cameron's little ditty about no longer being a Hearts supporter said it all for me...

"I used to be a Hearts supporter before I went to live in the UAE for 15 years and then when i came back I was no longer able to call myself a supporter"... "Now I am a fan of Scottish football" (Or infact whatever Keith Jackson tells him he is to be)

If Jackson is the Rangers' poodle then Cameron is the matted patch of fur at the poodle's rear end.

Traitor in my book and definitely not a Jambo!

And then the callers have the cheek to phone in and say roughie is biased towards celtic! HAHA I think he goes out of his way to be impartial even though at times he probably just wants to tell them to GIRUY!!

Can anyone supply the link to Graeme Spiers article in the Times yesterday? If so it would be appreciated.

What no Hearts news story?

Vlad your slipping up. How do you expect us to get through the summer without bitching at each other and having Hoboconomists telling us the end is nigh, for the 4th summer running.

Not sure I can cope without them!

What if everyone boycotted Rangers matches?

Some sort of strike is required, better watch out Murray will have a horses heid in my bed for suggesting such things!

Can't supply the link I'm afraid as the moderator seems to be respecting a blanket ban on any bad Rangers publicity but just go the Times website and search in the sports section.

Sorry mate I don't want kicked off for freedom of speach or anything abhorrent like that.

Well done MOTHY...you two-faced toad.
Waxing lyrical about "freedom of speech" etc...despite driving the Scotsman staff to distraction with your constant snivelling about others on these posts exerting precisely that freedom.
Typical jambo double standards, Eh?
As the other complainer "JT and T" would say "If they can give it out, they should be man enough to take it back (Gorgies Finest 14/03/08).
I agree with that, although JT and T clearly speaks with false tongue, how about you MOTHY?
Man of your word are you...or just another whining two-faced jambo, Eh??
