WATFORD have insisted defender Danny Shittu is not for sale despite interest from both Celtic and Rangers.
The 27-year-old Nigerian has impressed since moving to Vicarage Road from Queens Park Rangers in 2006, but Watford chairman Graham Simpson says no offers have yet been received and would not be welcomed in any case.

"We have had inquiries from Premier League clubs but no offers for Danny," said Simpson. "Danny is still with us and that's the way it is staying."

Watford paid £1.6m for Shittu two years ago as they prepared for life in the English Premier League.

Aged Hootsmon reporter W.C Boggs writes.."I believe that the Celtic bid for Shittu is down the pan,but Rangers are still pursuing him to be a part of a new BLOO revolution at Ibrox. Both clubs deny any approach and say that any story linking them to the player is a TISSUE of lies....
Celtic and Rangers both released statements to the effect that the players' agent and current team were "Cludgying at straws" in an attempt to Flush out potential buyers for their (Dis)charge..Shittu's agent denied that he was "bunged up" by certain clubs to try and dislodge the player but there was no real enama between both parties...

Suchy is a bit raw, green round the gills, and a bit lightweight on the scales. That said,he has some fin about him that makes me think he could thrive in the Goldfish bowl that is Glasgow. Not spinning you a line here guys, given time, this guy will be the reel deal....Taking a Bird's Eye view,I believe that we have Findus a great catch...His Net worth, after a while will be salmon special unless he ends up in Iceland...

There is no sense in this player going to RFC, as there is enough shittu amongst their supporters.
