CAPITAL boxer Craig McEwan has landed a slot on the undercard of the Ricky Hatton versus Juan Lascaro undercard, writes BRIAN DONALD.
Former Scottish amateur middleweight champ McEwan, who was a member of the Clovenstone club but is now based in Los Angeles, will take on Mexican Juan Carlos Sanchez on May 24 in Manchester.

McEwan said: "Sanchez will be good test for me as he has lost only twice in nine fights. But he has just three knockout wins, which suggests he isn't a heavy hitter.

It has been just like old times for McEwan as he preares for the fight.

He said: "I've had Gilmerton pro welterweight Gary Young and featherweight Jason Hastie staying at my house in LA and sparring at Freddie Roach's gym in preparation for their own next fights in Glasgow on June 14."
