ROMAN ROMANOV'S rant at Hearts' AGM in April has cost the club £30,000 in fines from the SFA. The chairman has been penalised £10,000 whilst Hearts have been ordered to pay £20,000 for bringing the game into disrepute.
Romanov said at the time: "It is news to you that this is a fixed league? Rangers and Celtic win titles by 30 points. How many times this season have we been screwed by referees?"

I agree entirely with Romanov and his take on the mafia for the mediocre. That he somehow thinks that Celtic are part of Scotlands mafia for the mediocre just betrays his ignorance and reemphasizes that you dont need to be smart to make money. I am certain though that Romanov even in his short time within Scotland has seen that the SFA only recruits washed up ex Rangers employees. If he were to make a list of SFA employees over the last (errm pick a number up to 80) and counted the number of ex Rangers employees compared to Celtic I wonder if Celtics contribution would be a whole number.

Dundee utd in 1987 and Celtic as recently as 2003 asked the SFA if they would consider helping them with their fixture schedule due to them performing well in Europe and getting to European cup finals. The SFA dismissed both clubs requests without question or debate. Rangers get to a EC final and the SFA voluntarily turn up at Charlotte Square in cahoots with the tabloid Daily Record exert pressure on the SPL and its members to bow to their (not Charlotte Squares) will. For the sake of Scottish football? in 1987 and 2003 Rangers won the SPL ;-)
Why is Terry Butcher (who cant even walk due to knee problems been given the job as Scotlands Assistant manager?) Was it the sterling work he done in his 3 months at Brentford before getting fired cos he wasn´t good enough?

Why was the Ibrox doctor who was jettisoned by Paul Le Guen for interference immediately employed by the SFA?
Vladimir, you need to look at your own clubs historical complicity with regards the mafia for the mediocre. Once Brother George Peat walks then Brother Campbell Ogilvie will be head of the SFA. he might have been their already if he hadn´t crossed Charlotte Square at boardroom level 7-8 years back? Whether this be beneficial to HMFC I dont know. I suggest he has a word with him duplicity etc. I mean he knows all about that.

If I was a Jamboe I´d be more concerned about the gangsters that are running my club than the mafia for the mediocre. Wasn´t Peat the head of the SFA the only man in Scottish football to bankrupt a club. Airdrieonians .. have you played them recently? mind you that powerhouse of world football invited George onto their board so that he could maintain his position within the SFA and become the 2nd most powerful and influential man in Scottish football. Tell me did Rangers Youth elite team also get threatened with relegation after the recent scandal?

If you can kill two birds with the one stone then go for it. The SFA have tried for 90 years and we are Scottish football. Without Celtic there would be nobody left to hate in the Scottish Game. Champions League draw tonight ... again :-)

I know it;s not politically correct but I really hope the Old Firm game gets firebombed at the weekend.

Too much? Okay, maybe a gentle soaping.

Oh great, the Jambos have got a Paranoid Tim on their side!
That'll be fine then, until he starts calling us mini h*ns.

These guys have a world view that is pure la la land, they have very little contact with reality on a day to day basis.

Romanov's rant was against the SPL, not the SFA so I ownder why Gordon Bluenose Smith took such an interest?
Did the SFA hammer Walter the Diddy Man for leaving them in the lurch - No they thanked him. Did the SFA hammer the Rioters for manchester? Will the SFA hammer Walter the Diddy for slamming the ref at the weekend - of course not? Complete double standards from the weegies again.
If I were Vlad I would refuse to pay fine and fight the GFA in the Court of Session.

I only wrote about historical facts. That you are reticent to deal with them, is what you should refelect upon - but hey not in front of a mirror. Finger pointing, smoke screening, smears = denial. It´s a familiar pattern regardless of if your a Hün or a Hün without the bus fair.

Hello,

Is there a big football draw thing happening today involving the champions of Scotland?

You wouldn’t know it from reading the Scotsman that’s for sure.

#8 Your twisted rant against Scottish football proves what I said. I need say no more about it other than that sellicfootballclub have had the same help from referees over the years as the h*ns have had.

People like you have no idea what reality is, other than Buckfast and signing on. Reality is that the weegie lifestyle of ignorance means they live 28 years shorter than the average Scot, and less than Indians living in 3rd World conditions.
Not such a bad thing for the rest of us though, cos your very boring.

I think the idiot son got off lightly to be honest. His comments were pathetic and only further brought further damage to the reputation of HMFC. Fining him and his even madder old man seems to have no affect whatsoever. I will be surprised if the next ill-thought out rant doesn't result in the club being deducted points.

Not very good with numbers either are you ?

I wonder what Glaswegians think of your rant. I think your proving that you are the twisted one here and by all accounts sick in the head. Thanks for unwittingly embellishing my points. I´ll expect another similar retort from you containing no substance and all sickness.

Whats new ?

#12 Isn't the reason that the scotsman don't allow comments on the Old Firm stories because of the amount of deleted posts would make it a full time job to monitor the forums?

TBH i think celtic will beat rangers and win the league this year, but wouldn't you be better off talking about celtic to celtic fans on a forum that allows that.

Why on the Scotsmans comment forums (i.e this one) am I permitted to print the word F-E-N-I-A-N but not H-Ü-N (note the umlaut) if I was to try and print H-U-M(Note the M as it wont accept it with an N) its refused.

Why is the forbidden language filter more rigorous for a non sectarian word than a sectarian one ?

I think that little fact illustrates perfectly the mindset of the moderator of these forums.

I think Sunday will be a draw.

#14 Might be cos we get an influx of rangers fans on here for some reason and that word has been used to death in insults so its been moderated.

i have noticed there is not that many celtic fans on to wind up, probably because they are happy with their team and not like rangers, living in the shadow of their rivals atm and have a greivence with every other team as they can not slag WGS & co.

#16,

The Scotsman pays the piper. It panders to its east coast and quite rightly do for financial reasons. It wont be long now before it´s amlagamated with its brother paper The Herald.

Check out these statistics

They are basically saying that sectarianism has been stamped out by most clubs except Rangers. It also highlights that problems within Rangers´s ranks account for more than all the other clubs put together in Scotland.

Why does none of this make the Scottish press?

Why is the Scottish press now full of stories about Bobo leaving to Birmingham for 32k when Wolves Chairman only two weeks ago said that the Bobo story going to wolves for 27K was muck. Is there an OF game coming up?

Amazing that someone whose team have been given highly dubious decisions in their favour, by clearly biased officials, in all three of their league fixtures so far this season would remain so paranoid.

Anyway, why so concerned about Rangers? Aren’t you the beloved ‘Old Firm’?

If the story in this link is true, and Celtic did indeed attempt to join the English 3rd division, why not try and join it alone? Why did you need Rangers to come along to? The hypocrisy between these two clubs is utterly staggering. That’s why everyone detests you both equally. You’re odious beyond belief.

#18 Good point. Celtic fans complain about being lumped in with Rangers under the Old Firm banner yet the two are always plotting together - whether it's to carve up TV money, change the league structure, charge a fee for ticket sales or leave for England.

Your point about why Celtic don;t try to go it alone is an interesting one. I find Celtic and their fans slightly less odious than Rangers and I think they'd be more welcome in England - with so many fans from Ireland they are in a way a foreign club already. So why don't they apply alone. They wouldn't need Rangers derby money then as they'd get the EPL riches.

I would laugh so long and so hard if Rangers were left alone in Scotland while Celtic did a runner. How completely fantastic would that be. It would also possibly be the best thing that could happen in terms of ridding this country of the horrible divisive religious baggage both clubs bring to our game - like any pair of troublemakers, splitting them up could be the best way to go - "Sorry, Liam, you cannae sit next to Nigel any more in class, you cause too much bother."

As I said before and I have heard nothing to counteract my claim. Celtic is Scottish football without us you would have nobody left to hate and all your clubs including Rangers would be bust. You´ll be the equivalent of these Asian fans that follow an EPL club, if you are not that already looking at the state and finances of your clubs. That day will come. I have no doubt about it and it will illicit a small wry smile amongst many.

#22 Um, no. Without the Old Firm, we'd have a more competitive league that would be just the right size for our population. At least 4 teams would immediately fancy their chances of getting into the CL by winning the league, which would spread the wealth about a little more. We'd focus on brining through young players instead of paying high wages just to try to compete with the OF. It would be braw.

&Larrsonfixestheradio,

What and no restructuring of the powers that be ?
Those salaries would have to be financed by somebody?

The Scottish Cup, the SFA´s show piece end of season event hasn´t had a sponsor in two years and does not look like getting one soon. Although we are paying Gordon "its Rangers for me" Smith 170K a year exactly for that remit? So how do you suppose all the bankrupt clubs in Scotland are going to manage that ?
Will lottery grants manage to carry your future hopes. Will the blazers like Peat & Smith not protect their own jobs and buddies jobs first before they will fight for youth development. If you think that´s what will happen then you haven´t been following whats been happening in Scottish football. Jim Farry built Hampden when it wasn´t necessary. It was a 10m gift to Queens Park. What happened to honest Jim anyway?David Taylor frittered 9m quid of the SFA´s money away on a hopeless bid for EURO 2008 and by doing so ensured himself a job for life and by doing so recruited an extra layer of protection for the SFA. Why do you think that Scotland and Rangers are exempt from serious trouble within the corridors of UEFA? That William Gaillard UEFA´s communication officer rushes well prepared statements minutes after Scotland or Rangers get themselves into trouble on a regular basis. Compare that with the treatment the Balkan clubs receive when it comes to sectarianism and racism.

I would love it to happen also. The whole Scottish nation can go back to enjoying themselves , revelling about being up to their knees in somebodies blood without giving it a second thought. Then all the drivel that I have supposedly been spouting on here will really come home to roost. I agree it would be a more level playing field and if a Scottish team got passed the 5th by then qualifying round of the CL, then they´ll have an open top bus parade like Chris Hoy got yesterday.

Get a dictionary (any dictionary, even a catholic one) and check the definitions of both words ...only the "H" word will display a definition categorised as "offensive".

While with the dictionary check the meaning of "sectarian" ... it actually refers far wider than the Scots/Irish green/orange parochiality which passes for West of Scotland soccer comment.

And while you are at it look up

"PARANOID" and
"WEEGIE"

Also the word that means " a filmy layer of extraneous or impure matter that forms or rises to the surface of a liquid"

...and you might think about brushing up on your reading, writing and vocabulary generally before entering into public debate again as I suspect you neither know what you are talking about or the words that you are mis-using so to do.

#28 I'm "an irrelevance"?

Says who? YOU!!! What right do you have to be so dismissive toward another person? What do you know about my abilities and qualities - or lack of them? Or anyone else's for that matter?

Disagreeing with one another is one thing but you've betrayed your arrogance and offensiveness.

I bring "nothing to the table"? Just how would YOU know..?
