As Hearts fans know nothing about the game, we can ignore your comments.

Burley should resign now.

Haven't seen the match yet but will tune in for the highlights in next 10 mins.

So whit ???? We lost 1V0 to Argentina. It's not exactly comparable with the rearrangerz getting gubbed by Kaunas and I didn't here any laptoployalists or rearrangerz fanz calling for smith's head.

Friendly or not - That really was utter sh*t.

We don't have any real class players aside from Gordon and possibly Fletcher, but wheres the fighting spirit to compensate we at least seemed to have under mcLeish

And Iwelumo can get to F - he's utter gash and palpable proof that Burley is a sycophant to anyone playing in England. He's similar to that donkey Nade at Hearts and not even the most ardent Jam phart would say he's international class.

Just phish and only Ronnie Browns truly disgraceful singing is worse

Burley had the chance to work with Miller, Boyd and Novo.

What does he do? Shrugs his shoulders and sinks another pint.

Well, at least he's got everthing under control...

That was the worst performance I have ever seen from Scotland. Lets be honest here and get away from the usual vitriol. Not one of these players would be considered for Argentina given there shocking lack of pace and skill level. This Nation has become a laughing stock under GB and the SFA. The game is rotten to the core in Scotland, driven by sheer greed and a wanton disregard for fair play which is completely ignored by the powers that be. The whole set up should be subject to a judicial review if you could get a judge to be impartial to all concerned.
What a can of worms would be opened up.

What is wrong with you people?

We lost 1-0...to Argentina!

Played some descent football in patches and if we play like that in our remaining WC games we will be fine.

Scotland has to be the most pessimistic country on the planet...my God, you can't even manage a half-full argument, just go strait to quarter-full.

Only the efforts of McGregor, Broadfoot and Ferguson (and Argentina getting bored after 20 minutes) saved us from a 4 or 5 nil drubbing.

Now is the time to make managerial changes.

Here's an idea if you want to come across as anything other than a totally biased club-man, dont say your players were great and EVERYONE else was "less than stellar", it's a guarantee to not be taken seriously.

McGregor was OK, but his distribution was useless.
Barry was OK, but got caught flat-footed a few times and played a little to deep BUT generally good to have him back.
Broadfoot at left-back didn't work and shouldn't be tried again.

Bigotland 0 v 1 Argentina. Where is the surprise?

When big Clubfoot is recognised as an international player, you know you have problems.
25

Still Plays Football,

Do you think "Forever" boy that you could just make snide comments without resorting to "Bigotland"...this is a stupid debate about the merits of Scottish football NOT a debate about west of Scotland sectarianism.

I think we saw only a fraction of what this argentine team are capable of. A few tweaks on finishing and it could have been 4 or 5.

We did harry them and made them a bit uncomfortable at times and they didn't look too clever from the set piece, but diego will iron these things out and work on their finishing. It will be interesting to see whether he can pull this team together and get the best out of them as a collective unit.

Nothing to be ashamed of from a scotland point of view.
The only scotland stand out was Scot Brown, the rest putting on a decent enough show, although the camel didn't look too clever out on the left.
Ferguson had two or three good touches in the first twenty minutes before carrying out a disappearing act.

McGregor wasn't asked to do very much : two saves in the first half, both of which would have been howlers had they gone in, although he did well to parry the first one well wide of the goal.
His relative inactivity was down to their poor composure with the final strike...so many went over the bar / around the post.

I thought the passing and movement that led to the goal was par excellence, and we were made to look paedestrian ...the passing was fast and accurate. If argentina can do that sort of thing more often, maradona will have done his job...but that's mibees as obvious as Burley's post match comment : "we learned that argentina are a good team".
