ST JOHNSTONE brought the curtain down on another season of massive league underachievement with a goal-strewn win over Livingston, who have weightier issues than a lack of consistency to contend with. With manager Mark Proctor seemingly heading for the exit door, and the club's transfer embargo showing no signs of lifting, a summer of discontent looms at Almondvale.
Saints dominated the opening period and Kevin Moon eventually made the breakthrough inside time added on courtesy of a scuffed drive, several bobbles and a deflection or two.

The visiting fans continued to back their team, and more noticeably their manager, but within 15 minutes of the restart Saints midfielder Paul Sheerin had twice converted from 12 yards after two harshly-adjudged fouls by James McPake. The second decision looked flimsy, but credit Sheerin with two expert finishes.

Not everything was conspiring against Livi, Steven Weir immediately reduced the deficit with a neat finish, however any thoughts of a comeback were quickly killed off as Steven Milne ran through to coolly net.

Murray Davison pulled another back only for Milne to again reply for Saints within seconds.
