STEPHEN McGINN has revealed how his family were rooting for him to find the back of the net against Rangers – after already scoring twice against Celtic.
The 19-year-old – grandson of former Celtic chairman Jack McGinn – came off the bench to grab a shock winner against the Ibrox club in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League yesterday. Two of his other three senior goals for the club were against the Hoops, but the youngster is modest about his goalscoring record against the Old Firm.

"It's just a coincidence – down to luck!" he said.

"Some of my uncles and my wee brother said I was due one against Rangers, and it's just the way it goes. The whole family will be delighted for me – they are always happy for me when I do well.

"It was a dream. It was a great team performance and a great result.

"It's probably my best finish – I'm not used to hitting it like that with my left foot. It was sweet.

"It might even be a career best."
