SATURDAY was always bound to happen. Over the years, Saints teams have always managed to slip-up in easier fixtures when we're on a good run of form. The game against Hamilton was our easiest fixture of October on paper, yet it's the only one we lost and the only one in which we failed to score.
It was a poor performance and you knew as soon as Accies scored after a few minutes there was no way back for us, and Tomas Cerny could have got the cigars out for the second half. On the plus side, it means Gus MacPherson is not likely to get October's manager of the month prize and the jinx that goes with it. It's just a pity we go into a really tough November on the back of a bad result – although, knowing us, it wouldn't surprise me if we won at Ibrox this weekend.
