EDINBURGH will meet Castres, Leinster and Wasps in the pool stage of next season's Heineken European Cup.
The draw for the 14th staging of the competition was made in Dublin this morning using a ranking system based on historical results in the tournament. That placed Scotland's two representatives, Edinburgh and Glasgow Warriors, in the lowest rated fourth tier and ensured they would have to negotiate a tough schedule to reach the knockout phase.

The competition gets underway in October, with the final taking place at Murrayfield on the weekend of May 23/24 next year.

Heineken Cup draw: Pool One: Munster, Sale, Clermont Auvergne, Montauban. Pool Two: Wasps, Leinster, Castres, Edinburgh. Pool Three: Leicester, Perpignan, Ospreys, Treviso. Pool Four: Stade Francais, Llanelli, Ulster, Harlequins. Pool Five: Toulouse, Bath, Newport Gwent Dragons, Glasgow. Pool Six: Biarritz, Gloucester, Cardiff, Calvisano.

Best chance to qualify for a long time. Edinburgh must keep hold of Robinson though!

It's alleged that Robinson and Lineen are both sticking their two fingers up to the National Set-up and sticking to their respective Professional Sides to gain honours there.

Well done to both, but one swallow doesn't make a summer and will Hadden be replaced soon?

Can't believe the SRU have quickly knocked out a DVD of the game along with 'other highlights' of the season.

Still, always good to have something to stick on instead of the adverts during Corrie Street!
