PEEBLES created the wrong kind of record as they launched their Premier 2 campaign in disastrous fashion at Inverleith.
Front-row brothers Adam and Neil Clark were both sent off during the 40-18 drubbing at the hands of Stewart's-Melville.

Tighthead prop Adam was shown a straight red card by referee Rupert Henderson on the hour mark for an alleged head-butt. Just three minutes later, Neil followed him to the dressing room after receiving a second yellow which met with no complaints, but Peebles are planning to appeal Adam's sending off. The sides had been locked at 13-13 at half-time.

Dundee and GHA underlined their intent to jump back to the top flight at the first time of asking, the former with a 25-16 success over Jed-Forest at Mayfield while GHA recorded a 45-21 triumph against Hamilton, also on home turf.

In Premier 3, Morgan Academy FP got off to a flyer by demolishing Livingston 74-5, while Garnock thumped Ardrossan 44-9 in the Ayrshire derby.
