Scottish Masters event loses backer

ORGANISERS of the inaugural Scottish Masters tournament next March fear the event may have to be cancelled due to the withdrawal of sponsor MCC Capital Projects.
A new backer is now being sought for what has been billed as the biggest-ever tennis event to take place in Scotland, with the likes of John McEnroe and Pete Sampras potentially playing.
Scott Thorburn, managing director of the event organisers, said: "Tennis is on a high in Scotland."
