LAURA Robson missed out on a place in the final of the women's ITF £40,000 event in Shrewsbury as she suffered a three-set semi-final defeat yesterday.
The 14-year-old Wimbledon girls' singles champion lost 6-2 3-6 6-0 to Estonian Maret Ani, a player ranked 105th in the world.

Robson, who had previously dismissed 35-year-old Tzipi Obziler of Israel, was seeking her first professional title but could not live with 26-year-old Ani in the deciding set, as her opponent booked a meeting with Italian Roberta Vinci in the final.
