LORRAINE Malloy, from the Spring Grove club in West Lothian, lost her Scottish national singles title plus and entry into the record books as the first ever back-to-back winner of the title in Ayr, going down 21-16 to Radnor Park's Margaret Stratton at the last 16 stage.
Stratton was then beaten 21-15 by Marie Todd from the Newton St Boswells club in the Borders, who contests today's semi-final against Helen Dobson from the Brookfield club in Paisley. Thurso's Lorna McDermid and Jean Fisher from the Bridge of Allan are in the other semi.
