Iceland secure win

VEIGER Pall Gunnarsson lifted Iceland off the foot of Group 9 with a 16th-minute winner against Macedonia in Reykjavik last night.
The home side suffered a blow in the 26th minute when they had to replace the injured Brynjar Gunnarsson with Aron Gunnarsson, but Iceland held on for a victory which pulls them level on four points with Scotland after three matches.
Macedonia remain a point behind in second-last place.
