Rallying: McRae bounces back for historic victory

SCOTTISH rally legend Jimmy McRae yesterday won the Isle of Man Historic Rally.
It was the 64-year-old's first event since he fractured his wrist and sternum in a crash in April.

Despite still recovering, the five-times British Rally champion was in fine form over the three days and he stood on the winners' podium alongside co-driver Andy Richardson after finishing 49.6 seconds ahead of Steven Smith.
