HEARTS owner Vladimir Romanov taught Sunday League footballers some fancy footwork by taking them ballroom dancing during a trip to Lithuania.
The banking magnate accompanied Duddingston FC players on a pre-season away trip to Kaunas, where the city team suffered an 8-1 defeat.

Gary Mackay on Talk 107 says that after speaking to people at Duddingston, they were treated to 5-star hospitality and made very welcome by Vlad. Apparently they played against Kaunas' first team.

pointless.

#1 - Take your medication pal. "Eh muchachos" - is that all you are capable of saying? What does it even mean? What a complete halfwit.

I play fives with a boy that playes with duddingston, and is a good jambo too, and he was saying they were treated superbly as well. He also said the Kaunas first team really were not that good, despite getting thumped 8-1 of course ;o) Fitness was the key apparently.

Sorry, but its a pity he couldn't afford a management team such respect rather than a cheap stunt with an amateur team, no matter how generous it was.
This is going on too long.

#7 - To be fair, this wasn't a cheap stunt. It happened about 3 weeks ago so it isn't like this has just been sorted out for some positive PR. A couple of my mates play for Duddingston and had a great time - I think they've also been invited back next year. It would be nice if just for once we could see Romanov doing something positive and praise him accordingly (as well as berating him for the Noel Hunt he's making of HMFC).

Apparently he's promised Duddingston they'll be playing champions league football and their home will be a 60,000 seater stadium within 3 years. You couldn't make it up.

#9 Its fair comment, and I have been one of the few to actually praise him for some of the fantastic initiatives at Tynie, but for fox sake, he needs to realise and fast that we can't compete whilst he dictates, no amount of these gestures can ever compensate.

I bet Roman was there too - dancing out of time and out of step to the music. Whilst the others waltzed, he was doing the Monster Mash.

Vlad was already there and so i suppose he just hopped in his car... Pretty sure he paid his own petrol money... It could be in a huge big pot of course with the Gordon and Bednar money though!... snigger...

Why have you started using the TommyTommy pseudo again Riley has the Pimpernel on been blocked or is it one of your sad wee mates using the account from a different IP address.
