AN after-school care club in Livingston has undergone an £11,000 refurbishment.
The Letham Lemurs After School Care Project, at Letham Primary School, was officially opened on Friday afternoon by Councillor Frank Anderson.

Fiona Hyslop, cabinet secretary for education and lifelong learning, also visited the club, which has been running in the Craigshill area of Livingston for 16 years.

Councillor Anderson praised the work of the committee and staff, saying: "It is a magnificent achievement to have kept Letham Lemurs running."

The club, based in the Letham Primary Community Wing, is run by a voluntary committee and currently caters for 20 full-time and 17 part-time children aged between five and 12 from both Letham and Riverside primary schools.

The after-school project currently has places available for youngsters in P1-P7.
