Parking ban for hall demolition
PARKING bays on Linlithgow High Street have been suspended for eight weeks to allow work to start on the demolition of part of the Old Victoria Hall.
The council has served a dangerous building notice on the owners of the building, which has been empty and derelict since 1991.
The emergency parking suspension covers the area outside the property, and the move will allow contractors to start demolition work on the rear of the Victoria Hall.
Owner Gioco Leisure is planning a million-pound makeover.
