PEOPLE can access health services and contact council officials in a new project at West Lothian's busiest library.
Councillor Andrew Miller, chairman of the Livingston North local area committee, has officially opened the scheme at the Carmondean Centre.

The refurbished building offers a range of services for local people, including a modernised library, expanded community learning area and a cafe. It also includes a Macmillan cancer support drop-in centre, which will be staffed part-time by a trained Macmillan nurse, as well general health information.

There is also a council information service which includes a video link to trained council advisers. Cllr Miller, said: "The integrated approach will give the public better access to information and services."
