GLASGOW'S Janice Moodie shot a final-round 71 to finish in the top 20 at the Kraft Nabisco Championship on a day when world No.1 Lorena Ochoa claimed back-to-back majors at the Mission Hills course in California.
The 26-year-old Mexican, whose first major triumph came in the Ricoh Women's British Open at St Andrews last August, shot a bogey-free final round 67 for an 11 under-par total and she earned the £150,000 top prize by a comfortable five shots from two
Europeans, Annika Sorenstam and Suzann Pettersen.

Ochoa led by one going into the final 18 holes and never lost the lead. She birdied the first two holes and was five clear of the field by the time she picked up three shots in a row from the eighth. Her five-under-par score was the best of the final day.

Moodie, who tied for second six years ago, started on the back nine and had a solid round with birdies at the 13th and seventh and just one mistake, at the 14th. She posted a three-over-par total for her best result of the year and the tie for 19th was the second best of the British players. England's Karen Stupples, who had led after the opening round, closed with a 72 and was in outright 12th place.

Turnberry's Mhairi McKay was the other Scot to make the cut, and she finished just outside the top 50 while North Berwick's Catriona Matthew, who finished second last year, missed the cut by two shots after disappointing rounds of 77 and 74.
